The same construction as the Charcoal: V-notch at the neckline, classic fit through body and arm, ribbed cuffs and hem. The Grey is a mid-grey marl — the colour of a good sweatshirt worn to the point where it has stopped trying to be anything other than itself.

The Grey version of the Mid-Century Machine Fleece Classic Fit Sweatshirt shares its construction with the Charcoal: produced on vintage mid-century machines at the Merz b. Schwanen workshop in Germany, the fabric is a 100% cotton fleece with a density and hand-feel that comes from the slower production process.

The V-notch at the neckline, the ribbed cuffs and hem, the relaxed classic fit — these are the same across both colourways. What changes is the tonal register. Grey marl is neutral in the best sense: it does not compete with what is above or below it, it does not date, and it takes washing and wearing without losing its character.

The kind of garment that earns its place without making much noise about it.
