1925 Creme - Hermes Red

The 1925 Creme represents Saphir's founding formulation — a wax-cream polish developed in Thiviers, France, in 1925 and unchanged in its essential character since. The combination of beeswax, carnauba wax, and colour-matched pigments delivers what no modern synthetic polish can replicate: a product that conditions the leather at the same time as it colours and protects the surface.

Hermès Red is named for the distinctive orange-inflected red associated with the Hermès house — a colour that sits between fire-engine red and warm rust-orange, rather than the cooler, purer reds of some aniline-dyed leathers. The 1925 Creme in this shade serves red-dyed smooth leather shoes and bags, rust-orange accessories, and any leather piece where the warmth of the original red tone must be preserved through regular maintenance.
